1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using the Sedo Insurance platform (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of service

Sedo Insurance is an insurance brokerage platform that allows you to obtain quotes, purchase insurance products, manage your policies, and file claims. Policies are issued by CIMA-licensed partner insurers, not by Sedo Insurance directly.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding contract to use this Service. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet these requirements.

4. Account obligations

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately at hello@sedoinsurance.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

5. Quotes and policies

Quotes generated through the platform are indicative and non-binding. A policy is only effective once it has been confirmed in writing by our partner insurer and the applicable premium has been paid in full. Sedo Insurance acts as broker and does not assume insurance risk.

6. Payments

Premium payments are processed via FedaPay and supported mobile money operators (MTN Mobile Money, Moov Money). By initiating a payment, you authorize the applicable amount to be debited from your selected payment method. All amounts are in West African CFA francs (XOF) unless otherwise stated.

7. Claims

Claims must be filed through the platform within the timeframes specified in your policy document. Sedo Insurance facilitates claim submission and tracking; final claim decisions are made by the issuing insurer in accordance with policy terms.

8. Intellectual property

All content on this platform — including text, graphics, logos, and software — is the property of Sedo Insurance or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written consent.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Sedo Insurance shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or business interruption.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Benin. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Cotonou, Benin.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. Material changes will be notified via email or in-app notice at least 15 days before taking effect.
